I realize we are not at the level of some of the truly elite programs, but Coach Ham has as good a system as any coach out there IMO. He knows exactly what he wants and he repeats it year in and year out. He does not build his team around 2-3 superstars like Kentucky, Duke or others, rather he molds his players to his system. It is always the same - 10 or 11 players who are essentially starters, long and athletic and playing tough, high energy defense. It looks the same every year and it has become a very successful and repeatable formula.
Who would have ever thought we would comfortably dispatch a UNC team with 4 top 20 players, without our only real star available. Incredibly impressive.
Coach has earned his spot in the Hall of Fame IMO - he has been a great coach for us.
