There have been a lot of questions surrounding linebacker Emmett Rice and his rehab. Heard from a good source that he's making excellent progress and the goal is for him to return in time for the Nov. 13 Miami game. If he hasn't already, he should start practicing soon. Of course, he has to continue to make progress and get medically cleared before this happens.
Also, he will be applying for a hardship to return for the 2022 season. This is uncharted territory considering it would be his seventh year! So, I have no insight on whether the NCAA would grant this or not. The good news is with the 2020 COVID year the NCAA has been looser when it comes to eligibility issues, so there's definitely a chance.
