If Texas and OU jump, FSU and Clemson need to follow suit

If OU and Texas (which I understand have a GOR problem as well) jump ship, then we need to band with Clemson and make a switch as well.

If the ACC thinks that adding ND and picking over the scraps of a defunct Big12 will fix it they are crazy and we are going to fall further behind the SEC and BIG10.

I don’t know if it’s even feasible to believe that we could attract the BIG10 or some other conference blend between the PAC10 and defunct Big 12 but we need something to fix this revenue gap. If we stay put, the ACC is going to leave us in terrible shape in the long run and the money problems won’t fix themselves.

Side topic: if OU and Texas has a GOR problem and they are proceeding regardless then how in the world does that work?

Does the the GOR cease to be an issue if the entity that holds the rights (in this case the Big12) ceases to exist? Is that how we fix this? In other words, analogous to owing money to someone who is dead and can’t collect.

So by that logic, FSU would need to make sure that if it left that it took Clemson with it, doused the ACC in gasoline and then lit a match on the way out to make sure the ACC can’t recover?

Just thinking out loud on the boards, trying to reconcile this GOR problem and how OU and Texas are going to pull this off.
