As a kid I remember the fries being better than the hamburgers at fast food joints. Now they both equally suck at the major chains.

can't use the oils they fried them in back in the day I guess...like I'm going to a fast food place to eat something "healthy"

A little French fry story...

I had always thought French Fries were just something the US came up with and wasn't something they even ate in France.

We were in France and went to this sort of fancy restaurant that served Duck. I was (pleasantly) surprised that this fancy duck meal came with all u can eat French Fries.

It was called : Canard et Champagne
