We're still a club sport, MCLA. With the incredible beat down of Miami today, we are 5-0. Depends on what Vtech did this weekend, but I see us getting to #1.
It was so cool to see our players clock the Miami guys. But, it's lacrosse, there will times when one of our players gets clocked.
It literally is like hockey on the ground, in fact, that's probably how hockey got started. Lacrosse was around when the Europeans arrived in Canada.
There is not the amount of padding in lax, though, but the face mask is there. Good players body check. FSU did more of that than Miami. You see a lot more of the real stick fighting in ACC lax, like UVA and UNC, MD, and a few other schools.
Actually, I saw a lot more of intensity from HS players in CT. That stuck out to me. But, Fairfield Co., as well as surrounding NY, regularly supplies the best players to the top lax teams, particularly, Darien and New Canaan.
