Is Scott Bentley an example of Mandela Effect? I swear I remember him being an outstanding PK for us, former #1 HS kicking recruit, the golden child and savior to end our wide rights, and was just money during an illustrious FSU career. Well I stumbled upon his stats, and needless to say was surprised. Did you know that during our '93 National Championship season, he missed nine extra points? That's almost impossible for a full-time kicker. Also, in FG attempts he went just 26-43 his first three seasons. So by the end of the '95 season, his career FG% was a dreadful 60%. Crazy because I honestly remember him being a great kicker, just outside the Jano, Gano, Aguayo tier. I guess the deficiencies weren't noticed because we were so far ahead in every game, and also his game-winner against Nebraska probably clouds everything.
He did pull it all together and have an excellent senior year (1996).
Anyone else remember Bentley being great? What are some other examples of Mandela Effect regarding FSU football, or college sports in general?
