The last 3 years have been painful to live through for any Seminole fan. None of us every really imagined the team could fall so far. But now that we have hit rock bottom - it is kind of easy to see how our new coach is slowly (really not so slowly) putting the program back together piece by piece.
First - hire Younger / highly Motivated / rising Star coaches to fill staff
Second - spent half of first season learning roster and second half purging it - to rebuild correct winning culture (More about that below)
Third - recruited as good a class as possible coming off a 3-6 season and did an amazing job in transfer market and closing with Destyn.
Final Product - In 1 year Norvell has completely gutted the burnt out remnants he inherited and has started to rebuild a winning culture by instilling a sense of responsibility, respect, and pride for the team/program while improving the locker room in just about every way possible.
- QB - Milton is a huge leadership/culture boost period - anything on the field will be instant upgrade if he can still play
- WR - in area off biggest need we got one of biggest bright spots by landing Parchment and Hill, plus we get Wilson back at TE
- DE - other area of biggest need also addressed with great additions in Johnson and Keir Thomas
- DB - surprise weakness last few years added boatload of talent from transfer market, Dotson finally healthy, and Washington is a beast
- Still waiting on one more OT transfer to solidify improving offensive line and possibly 1 more DT/DE to held in trenches
Nowhere near where we want to be yet but at least you can see the building blocks being laid down for a better future for this program going forward!
