The Power I, with a fullback as a lead blocker or ball carrier, used to be a real staple for teams. We made good use of the Wham 34 back in the day, with Dayne Williams and our QB under center.

I know we've used DJ Lundy as our up back in this formation and have had some success with that. I wonder why we don't use this approach more often. Our run blocking outside the red zone has been decent but there seems to be a lack of confidence in our ability to move people off the ball near the goal line. Thoughts?
