I was worried he just dropped dead. Thankfully, highly qualified (I assume) medical people were right there to do CPR and use the AED.

It happened to a Detroit Lions player during a game about 50 years ago. Chuck Hughes, who was from Texas. The autopsy revealed he had a major cardiac event on the field.

Very sad and it sure brings to mind that it’s only a game. A very violent one.
