Look, I'm not a fan of the Dugans extension - but remember that no one has more on the line as it pertains to this program than Norvell.
FSU is his big break - if he returns us to prominence, he'll find himself in a circle of elite coaches who can do as they please for the next 15-20 years. If not, he'll be back in the Group of 5 ranks for the next 5-10 years before he can sniff a Power 5 shot again (and it wouldn't be a name like FSU).
I'm guessing that A) they weren't able to land a noticeable upgrade at the position, or B) the class is closed and Dugans had more to do with some key transfers than we realize.
Like I said, I'm scratching my head over the move, but I also trust MN isn't looking to get fired.
