FACT: after willie left the team needed a major rebuild .. BAYLOR 2017 STYLE. Baylor went from a team hoping to get into the play offs and two years later won 1 game .. lost 11; That is where we were.
THANK OUR GOOD LORD IT HAPPENED IN A COVID YEAR .. Why
1. there were so many distractions so many team playing bad and soon much will be forgotten or forgiven. some PAC 12 team played had virtually no practice and played 3 games.
2. We would have missed Milton and the momentum he brings .. We have momentum the hater will not admit it but our guys have momentum .. Dont think we pulled Malik because all is bad here .. most folks see the cancer is gone ..
3. last year no transfers wanted to come our way .. we played, we improved, rid ourselves of the cancer and will will get a few very good even some close to elite transfers and lots of them - FLIP the roster
4. next spring - great attitude player playing in there correct positions not rebuilding only moving forward
5. We practiced 22 weeks - cleared the dead wood and established a positive culture .. not something we have to start in the spring. again some pac 12 teams played 3 games and practiced 8 weeks or less
6. We learn we do have the right coach and staff and they gutted it up and shed the cancer .. thank goodness they did it in a covid year
7. Can you imagine if this played out in 2021 after we had lost our Jr and Sr
