What will it take to consider this a really good showing? It’s one of those games in that the more we destroy them it’s hard to tell if we are good or if they are bad. I expect us to dominate this game unlike previous years where we struggled against all competition.
With that said, my main focus is the trenches. I want to see us be able to just physically dominate up front. On offense we should be able to run for three yards whenever we want due to our surge alone. On defense we should be able to contain the run and get pressure without blitzing. Obviously I hope for competent passing, catching, and good fundamentals. . . But if I really see us just maul inferior competition up front, I will feel good about that game.
