7:30 p.m. ---
Here’s some highlights from Norvell after practice. He said it was good to get back out there and he thought it was a real solid work day. There were things they need to improve on and correct, but their was good work that was achieved.
On QB Jordan Travis, he’s seeing a lot of growth and development in his decision making. Confidence is higher, starting to really emerge. Also said QB Tate Rodemaker had some good moments.
On WR Ja’Khi Douglas, said you see him growing as a receiver. Vertical speed and playmaking down the field. Still has to clean up the details, but Norvell is excited about his growth.
On DE Jared Verse, said he’s coming along. You see the positive steps in the techniques and fundamentals. Becoming a disruptive player for the defense.
On WR Winston Wright’s status, Norvell said they were thankful that he’s still here with the severity of the accident. He will miss “an extended period of time here in the short term.”
Some other notable attendees at practice today: Former safety Pat Watkins, former A.D. David Coburn, current A.D. Michael Alford and several recruits.
