Been seeing these ads for a few weeks now. Are they legit?

I don't think any ad on FB is legit..

Pretty much. The blatant ones (I've seen a lot of Ray-ban ads) I report and mark the poster's page as being hacked.

It's a good reminder to change your privacy settings so that you have to approve any status or photo you're tagged in...this way the scammy scams don't get passed on.

Oh, and for crying out loud, "Disney-World." is not going to give you 4 tickets and five grand in cash if you're a lucky winner.

Don't worry CMan even wary or mostly wary consumers get taken periodically. There was an EBay seller with tens of thousands of positive reviews and he was selling a 128 GB microSD card for $8 when that would be $80 from Best Buy. I bought one as a test and sure enough it worked great and showed up as 124 GB out of the 128 (or so I thought), so I bought 4 more. Only after using it more did I find out that they are all fraudulent cards. They hold 8 GBs and after that...nothing. It pretends to write to the other areas but nothing is really stored. So basically I got effed. I would say $8 for an 8 gig card isn't too royally screwed (although I have no need for a card that small) but you can never rewrite data. Because anything you record (or re record) after the first 8 will go to the big fake area that stores nothing. Apparently the other tens of thousands didnt catch on quick enough to do negative reporting (I did and I will).

Yeah I figured, that's why I asked BEFORE I did anything. I just keep on seeing so I thought maybe there was something to it...

They aren't polarized either......I emailed them asking and got a reply from somewhere in China, but they did say they'd give me two pairs for $19 (but I don't wear sunglasses that aren't polarized).

Wait a second, those aren't legit? Whatever....next you'll try to convince me that Obama isn't trying to take over Texas with the Jade Helm military operation. There is no way a 51 year old "retiree," living in Round Rock that has "inside sources," could be making it up.

Some of my friends (who are far from uneducated) have reposted those. I was the Debbie Downer.

What do I need with some cheap-ass shades or a Publix coupon. Bill Gates is sending me ten grand for reposting a pic of him holding a sign that says so.

Wait, does he speak fluent Nigerian? I sent Bill Gates a check the other day...
