Our 2017 schedule presents a unique opportunity for FSU in recruiting and championships. IMO there are 7 games which will define our season and perhaps our future:
The 2 most difficult games could be the first and last regular season games against Bama and Florida who played for the SEC Championship the past 2 years.
The most important game is always the next game, but our most important games will be those against Miami, NC State, Louisville and Clemson. Fortunately the first 3 are at Doak. Win those 4 and we're headed to the ACC Championship. Hopefully with a team other than Miami because beating the same team twice in the same season is usually more challenging for the winner of the first game. No game will be more important than the 13th if it's for the ACC Championship.
In the scheme of things, the Bama game could be the least important, but a loss to Bama will likely require us to win the next 12 to assure a Playoff spot.
If FSU is 6-0 or 5-1 with a loss to Bama, we will be on track for the Playoff heading into the Louisville game, but 3 difficult games will remain with Louisville, Clemson and FL.
