Can't say I'm pleased. He's very awkward and it's a huge downgrade from Jon Stewart.

I started watching the first night and thought blah. I fell asleep last night before it came on.
I never really watched it before, so no big deal to me.

For me, I was a regular daily viewer of Jon Stewart and Colbert but the Nightly show has been absolutely dreadful and I gave up on it about three weeks in. So far Trevor Noah has been a huge disappointment as well. And no it's not a black and White thing, my top two picks (after John Oliver who turned it down) to replace Jon Stewart would have been black women: Aisha Tyler and Jessica Williams. The difference in both of those women come across as smart, charismatic and are quite funny. Noah MAY be smart although so far he hasn't shown it, but he has zero charisma and I find him completely unfunny.

I would say give him a little more time, not only is he new to the Daily Show, he's a little less seasoned in life than Stewart and Colbert. If Stewart picked him to be his successor it was surely for a reason.

As far as the nightly show, the opening bit is usually pretty good, but the desk/panel format doesn't work well for me.

Have been pleasantly surprised by Colbert on Late Show - he hasn't totally abandoned his Colbert Report style and is bringing intelligent (and/or politically relevant + totally unintelligent) guests and discussions to the general public. People will only be smarter because of it, rather than the mindless drivel Letterman spewed.

John Oliver is also kicking ass, not surprising after his stint in the Daily Show chair.
