I'm not exactly sure what FSU is trying to do defensively on third down with all the linemen standing up and stemming (shifting around) and doing their fake blitz dance until the ball is snapped. Is this suppose to confuse the offensive protection when they are in almost obvious passing mode? It's not working in the least. It generates no pressure and there are huge gaps for either the draw or for the QB to run through.The defense is never set when the ball is snapped.
If FSU isn't in that formation, then it's a 3 man rush...which isn't working in the least either. In the last two games, opponents have thrown the ball 84 times. Is the run defense just that good or do opposing coaches just believe the FSU pass defense is that suspect?
Really need to start getting better pressure on the QB, an issue that still carries over from last year obviously.
Guess it's easy to play armchair QB but what else can you do on a forum.
