Four-star 2025 linebacker Tarvos "TJ" Alford committed to Ohio State on Saturday. The commitment to the Buckeyes didn't come as a surprise but with Florida State getting his last unofficial visit prior to his announcement it did give the Seminoles that best chance to make the last impression.
The rising senior considered three other schools; Tennessee, UCF and Miami in addition to FSU and Ohio State before committing to the Buckeyes.
Alford took unofficial visits to both Ohio State and Tennessee prior to his trip to Tallahassee. He told the Osceola a little over a week ago that he would be accompanied by his father on all of these trips in an effort to get his feedback as he got ready to make his decision.
Despite his commitment to Ohio State the battle for Alford will likely roll into the 2024 season. He will take an official visit to Ohio State on May 31st. and to Miami on June 21st. It is expected that he will take an official visit to FSU as well.
