Both Norvell & Dillingham referred to having 6 turnovers against Wake, but both dismiss the hail mary, then say we had 5 turnovers. My beef isn't with dismissing the hail mary; I actually agree that's not really a turnover unless it's returned for a TD.
That said, you know what IS a turnover? Failing a 4th down attempt. Literally called a turnover on downs. And I understand the box score doesn't call it an turnover (for some reason, really they should put INT/FUM/DOWNS in the box score), but if we're taking liberties as to what is and what isn't, THAT is a turnover. So every time these coaches referenced 6 turnovers being 5, I wish I could be there to remind them they actually had 7 turnovers.
