So I started writing for SOFREP over the summer and just did an interview with MOH recipient Leroy Petry; that is a shameless plug. So what I do is use the IMOVIE program on my wife's MAC then put it on a thumb drive and play it on my laptop to help me write the interview/story. I have never had an issue doing this; so this time when I open the file it says it is in quicktime and I can't play it. Any ideas? I am sure it is real simple and I am just weak technically.

Sounds like your laptop/computer doesn't play QuickTime (apple) files. If you are using the same laptop/computer, you may have saved the file as different format this time.

You can install QuickTime (link below), or install VLC (link below) which plays everything. Or, you can go back to IMovie and resave the file as an MP4 which will play in Media Player.

If you are using Win10 now, are you using the new built-in movie/tv streamer? or are you still opening up Media Player. Learned there was a difference on my new laptop.

Found the problem. There were 2 files and I saved the wrong one. My wife fixed this morning. Thanks
