It was mentioned in the Adelson article from ESPN (that was posted in the other thread regarding the discussion of the ACC dropping divisions) that the conference was having football meetings this week in south Florida. I guess these are not like media days in late spring or mid summer. I don't see any news reports. But Ms. Adelson clearly reported that ACC commish Philips is meeting with all the AD's to specifically discuss the football scheduling formats....and to discuss how to schedule the OOC games with the other members of the Alliance (Big Ten and PAC 12). It seems clear that Phillips want the divisions scheduling format changed, and it was reported that he already advised ESPN about these plans. And he intends to go to the NCAA and state that if any rule changes are necessary to make this happen, he wants it to happen. This is all part of Phillip's intention to make THE ACC focus on the priority of football.
