As is customary, Jimbo Fisher spoke Wednesday morning during the ACC Teleconference. Fisher discussed a few items relating to the team and the upcoming game against the University of South Florida. Here's a snapshot of what he discussed:

>Fisher said the Seminoles will have to play their "A-game" against the Bulls when they play Saturday at 11:30 a.m. There's been a continually respect for USF going back to Fisher's press conference on Monday. He provided more examples as to why USF can be dangerous a little bit later in the teleconference.

>He said QB Everett Golson showed he knows how to be a game manager when needed. Golson opened 7-of-9 in the first half before throwing four touchdowns and 302 yards in a 59-16 win over Texas State in Week 1. Fisher also said there's still areas of improvement for Golson, something he also said after Saturday's game and his Monday presser.

>Fisher was also asked about former FSU quarterback Jacob Coker and how Coker handled losing the 2013 quarterback battle to Jameis Winston. Fisher said Coker showed maturity. Coker was disappointed but above all else, he was mature.

>Playcalling was also a topic of conversation. The big news in college football comes after Texas coach Charlie Strong made a change as to who will call offensive plays for the Longhorns after their 38-3 loss at the hands of Notre Dame. Fisher, who is FSU's playcaller, said having a head coach call plays provides stability on one side of the ball in case of coaching changes.

>Keeping with a general theme. Several players through the ACC suffered injuries to open the season. The most notable were Clemson WR Mike Williams and Pittsburgh RB James Conner, who both suffered long-term injuries. Williams, who is expected to miss the rest of the season with a neck injury, was expected to be one of Clemson's top targets. Conner, who will miss the rest of the season with a torn MCL, is the returning ACC Player of the Year. Fisher said he was not aware of those injuries and "I live in a cocoon" when it comes to keeping tabs on conference-wide injuries.

>One USF player Fisher was asked about was QB Quinton Flowers. Flowers went 12-of-16 with 141 yards, two touchdowns while rushing seven times for 63 yards and another touchdown in a 51-3 win over Florida A&M. Fisher said, "Everyone sees the things he does with his feet. He can also throw the ball." Fisher continued be saying, "Flowers is smart, knows how to play the game and has been a winner is whole life."
