Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher did his weekly meeting with media on the ACC Teleconference. Later in the day, he and the Seminoles will fly to Boston for their game against Boston College on Friday. As always, here are the highlights from Fisher's Q&A:

>Fisher said he was pleased with what he saw from the defense against the University of South Florida in the team's 34-14 win. He also said he was happy with the way the offense recovered after a 7-7 tie at halftime.

>His first question about BC came in the form of the challenges the Eagles present. Fisher said BC causes issues because of its personnel and the schemes it uses. More specifically, he said the Eagles are effective with using the toss sweep.

>The conversation shifted back to USF and its sophomore quarterback Quinton Flowers. Fisher said Flowers was a "difficult guy to harness." There were moments early on when Flowers was hard to capture as he danced around the defensive ends when he found space. Flowers was held to 38 rushing yards and went 12-of-24 for 125 yards, two touchdowns and an interception.

>Fisher was also asked about FSU's decision to go for it on fourth down against USF. It was part of a bigger picture question. It was noted that FSU, when compared to its ACC contemporaries, doesn't chance it on fourth down. Fisher said it all depends upon the situation in the game, later saying, "We thought it was worth the opportunity."

>Toward the end, more of the questions began to circle back to BC. Fisher, as he's said all week, commented on how physical Boston College can be. Although he did say having a hint of deception with the physicality is why the Eagles can be problematic.

>One of BC's cornerstones has been how its runs the football. Fisher said many, if not all, of BC's running backs share similar traits. He said all of their running backs are "downhill backs" and the Eagles are a great gap team that can exercise patience.

>His final comment came when asked about BC's Alumni Stadium. Fisher said Alumni creates a tough environment because the fans are on top of the field. He also went back to how BC's personnel and scheme also make it tough before circling back to the notion Alumni Stadium can add another dimension.
