After 13 years (to the day), Rivals found me!

Really? My card was compromised and the bank canceled it. Rivals has been hounding me to update my with my new card--they just sent me a 25% discount offer if I update my card.

and raised my monthly subscription fee.

Happy Anniversary to Me! o_O

Uh, oh. I have been on about the same amount of time. How much were you paying and what did they raise it to? Did they email you first or just charge your card? I think I pay $5.95/month, same as when I started.

Yup. Been paying 5.95 now it's 9.95

I am shocked at how many people pay to be a member. Nothing against those that do, just can't believe how many there are that do.

I just got my credit card compromised a few days ago. Don't believe I'll be renewing my subscription once my new card arrives.

Is this something you have to call Rivals about or is there somewhere on the site that tells you when you're due to be charged? I'd hate to have a rate increase like others are mentioning. I believe when I first signed on it was something like $9.99 if I went in for a year.

Sounds like you can cancel, wait for a while... then they'll offer you a discount similar to SXM?

Back in the day, Warchant had by far the best, most in-depth info in a timely manner. With the advances in internet sites and social media, good, timely info is much easier to get. I still enjoy some of the premium content and boards and it is fair to pay something to cover the costs of the site and staff. $6 per month is fair and they have enough subscribers to cover costs with decent profit. If they raise my rate, I'll reassess the cost/benefit and maybe just cancel and increase my booster contribution a little.
