For some reason, Free's thread about freezing ice got me wondering ... is it ok to carry on frozen items that become liquid at room temp if it is not liquid when you go through security??? Things that make you go hmmmm.
I'd love to hear the debate with TSA about temperatures and natural phase. My bet, they keep you there long enough that it thaws, then give you the invasive pat down.
I could give you some great advice; but my track record is not the best. All I can say is IMO it really boils down to who/where you travel; there doesn't seem to be any consistency throughout the system.
So, you're saying boil it, don't freeze it....ok
Yep, it all comes down to who is scanning the bags. Ive gotten through with water bottles and knives, yet been stopped for toothpaste. You can tell by watching the person scanning the carry-ons; sometimes if busy, they let everything through. Sometimes they watch it like a hawk, backing it back and forth over and over. Same person will stare at the screen for 30 secs on one bag, then their buddy at the body scanner cracks a joke and they let 2 bags through while laughing with their shoulders turned away. Total crapshoot.I could give you some great advice; but my track record is not the best. Yes and if at all possible keep it boiling as you go through the screening machine; however you may want to bring multiple pies as TSA has a rule that if you bring a pie on an airplane you must have enough for everyone on the plane to get a slice.
Pretty sure they're not gonna let you through with a bottle of frozen water. One would hope. For some reason, Free's thread about freezing ice got me wondering ... is it ok to carry on frozen items that become liquid at room temp if it is not liquid when you go through security???
