Madison Kennedy broke her school's single season homerun record last year with 12 in only 20-some-odd games.
Tonight, she broke her school's career HR record and she nearly added one more in the game that was caught at the fence.
I was told tonight that she was originally committed to Jacksonville University. I'm not sure how hard we were recruiting her if at all at the time, but when she went to FSU's camp, the first 6 pitches they threw her, she sent them all out of the park. If we weren't already recruiting her hard before that, we certainly were after.
She's already a 2-time all-state player and will probably add another. Needless to say, to say I'm excited about adding her to our team would be putting it lightly.
