Not as bad as the straight up nut punch as hard as he could do it during the BYU and Boise State Game
Ridiculous that he didn't even get ejected from the game. I believe I read the kid he hit had to get like 8 stitches or so for that hit too.
Go and watch any youth league football for a day. You'll understand quickly.
Uhhh, it is far worse than the nut check. If the helmet were to have hit him with that force just above his ear the player most likely would have sustained a very serious head injury.
Yeah I am thinking I would have also been ejected if someone hit me with a helmet. I would be doing everything in my power to rip his helmet off and return the hit back to the head. Especially since he didn't get ejected. If I was still playing, sometime through the course of the game, I would have paid him back.
Yes, he has been forbidden from using alcohol and tobacco and from having sex for his entire remaining time at BYU. Pretty harsh punishment if you ask me.
No suspension, just an in house punishment from the BYU coach. Win at all costs has rolled into Utah as well now it would seem.
The high school kid has been kicked off the team, suspended from school and is being looked at by the popo...
I pretty much despise about 80% of all little league coaches
So now the punk who hit the other player with the helmet is claiming:
1. his hand got stuck in the helmet
2. the white player was using racial slurs the whole game
Personally I cannot believe it took the little punk to hide behind a claim that whitey was a racist....I honestly expected this the first time I was this on the local news. This is complete horsesh*t.
I am sure there will be a lot of people who buy this crap and defend the indefensible.

He's definitely hedging his bets. First saying it was an accident and if that doesn't fly then trying to justify it.
Sadly, football is becoming a thug sport. These things are inevitable when you allow some of these kids to participate. Tragic, really, on all levels.
The ones pile-driving officials; swinging helmets at defenseless players; etc. You think that's defensible conduct? Those kids.....
Now that this genie is out of the bottle, look for more incidents in the coming weeks.....book it.
How exactly do you identify "those kids" before they commit the actions?
