And after 8 more catches there will only be six WRs in NFL history with more.

Pretty amazing for this former QB who ran a 4.7 forty.

A what point is he a shoo-in for the Hall of Fame?

Not too long ago many were saying long shot, but I think at this point you have to put him in the 50/50 area. He's only 40 catches away from being #4 all-time, and #3 all-time for WRs. If he plays next year he is almost certain to get that. He'll also move into the top 10 for receiving yards. These are certainly Hall of Fame type numbers, and unlike several other players in the neighborhood, Boldin has a Super Bowl ring and a lot of playoff wins.

By the way, he's the only player in NFL history to have 50+ catches in his first 14 seasons.

Not to mention he was the NFL's Walter Payton Man of the Year last year. Hard-working, squeaky clean, gives back to the community. You know, a Seminole.

His play type is perfect for aging. Uses his body to get open and knows how to get open. Never relied on straight speed, which as you age can quickly disappear. He might have another two years left in him.

He can talk trash with the best of them. He will go after the DB, but he clearly backs it up. He is definitely one of my favorites.

A true master at use of body position to make the catch, and with his hand strength, i can't imagine him losing a tug of war when he and a dback come down with an equal claim on the ball. At 4.7 speed or whatever, I still like his chances in a footrace with the earlier master, Freddie B.

The Super Bowl helps. I feel his numbers are too good not to be put in, but hey....they still haven't put Roger Craig in, so they may be stupid with Boldin too
