Any noles with a baby girl or one on the way?

So I'm cleaning out the house for a move, and going through a ton of old stuff that's been packed away.

Came across a pair of outfits my mother made for my girls when they were little. She was a hell of a seamstress, and made the girls tons of clothes.

She made these for my girls when I'm guessing they were about 1 and 4 years old. It's a little dress, and a shirt/skirt combination. Based on how quickly kids grow, I'm thinking these were worn once or maybe twice. They're in pretty much perfect shape, other than the logo on the little dress peeling a bit and needing to be hit up with some fabric glue.

My kids will go to their own schools, so it's likely they'll never be worn again. Seems a shame to just toss them, but I don't know off hand anyone to give them to. Any takers out there?

I'm guessing I could fit them in a USPS priority flat rate envelope, so if anyone's interested, I'm just looking for $7.20 for shipping. Unless I can spark a bidding war LOL.

If it matters...these feature the "classic" logo.

Oh my, an apron made for a little girl?!? #triggered

Seriously though, they are very nice. Won't be working on baby #2 until the fall and my wife is really hoping for a girl.

Thanks. My mother truly was brilliant with this stuff, sewing and any kind of crafts. If we'd had the maker culture that exists today, I have no doubt she'd be an Etsy millionaire, I believe that with no exaggeration.

Where are you moving from and to? Just curious--I recall you being in the Atl burbs? I'm in Roswell.

I'd hang on to those forever if I were you! My mom passed away last year and I would give anything to have more keepsakes like those....

I know...it's hard. I threw out a bunch of MY baby clothes yesterday that I got when she died, including things she made for me. We had saved almost everything she made for the kids too.

My wife picked out a couple key things to hang onto for keepsakes, and found a few we can recycle to my niece. But most got tossed. Along with a bunch of amazing Halloween costumes I constructed for the kids over the years.

It's hard, real hard...but there are two choices. We either toss them out now, or my kids have to go through all this crap and toss them out when we croak. There aren't really any other options...and there's no reason for us to really do that to them.

By the way I guess I should have said before...if anyone is calling dibs on these, email me.

Just a short way away, from a subdivision in South Forsyth to a townhome in downtown Alpharetta. Pre-empty nesting, since we're about to be down to one high schooler. If we wait four years, we won't be able to afford it (not that it's very affordable now) any place we'd really want to be.

I have a granddaughter arriving in a month. I'll ask my daughter if she would like to please dear ole Dad!

Maybe keep them for the grandchildren?

I thought about it, but my kids won't dress their grandchildren in them I imagine because they'll have their own school. I could dress them up when they come to visit, but why keep them in a box another ten years just in case, if some nole fans can put them to use now. Better honor of my mother's work that they get used. I'll be happy knowing they get used.
