I was looking into getting one and was wondering about the process with the ATF. Just plan on doing some transfers and old guns from estate sales that my cousins get from there business in Boca.

It's just an application process I believe. But a tough one. So tough that many companies offer a packet to greaten your chances of being approved. I thought about getting mine just so I can purchase wholesale , maybe turn a hundred dollars profit every now and again, flipping a gun.

Experience has shown me that when the Soviets and the Cubans attack us on American soil, they'll use the FFL files to identify the people with the most guns, and round them up first for re-education. So that's one list you might want to avoid!

I literally had everything done with mine a couple years ago... got a new job and focused on that and never sent it in. It's not that hard. You do have to get approval by the local law enforcement official where you will run it. You also need fingerprints done. I did both at Leon Sheriff's office and had no problem.

You don't even need a safe by law. You do have to accept being randomly inspected. It's mostly paperwork and keeping a solid log in practice. And of course paying the fee. I figured that doing cheapo transfers for friends and friends of friends would cover the cost with minimal hassle.
