Considering pulling the trigger on one. A 2012 with the Leather package. Does anyone in here own one or know someone who does? Reviews have been pretty solid. Other than being somewhat of a gas guzzler, I like what I see and hear so far.

Biggest reservation is buying a US car.....had not so great luck with my Ford Explorer and GMC Jimmy and conversely, have had awesome experience with my Highlander Limited. The old gal has almost 250k miles so thinking about trading her in.

Any input is appreciated. I am also considering Lexus RX 350, probably a 2012 as well.

Seminole 72 has one and loves it. There is nothing wrong with buying a US car. This isn't the '80's. GM, Ford, and Mopar are all building great cars now. You might also look at the GMC Acadia Denali as it is the same platform as the Enclave. Get an extended warranty if you have any reservations.

My wife, one of the pickiest people I know, loves hers. She did a ton of research and had been apprehensive about buying American but she was sold on the Enclave.

Bought a 2014 last year, and it's the best car I've ever owned. I love driving it; it's smooth, with a fantastic sound system. And it's not that bad on gas either. I couldn't be happier.

The V6 in the one I rented in Maine was strong and thrifty. My wife actually said she liked it which was strange for her to say that about any vehicle.

I've owned 5 cars, Honda & Acura (supposed to be reliable, but both turned out to have major issues) Nissan (bent the axle doing some relatively light offroading, not very reliable) Toyota Tundra (crazy reliable, no issues in 6 years) and now I'm in my first American vehicle an F150... Honestly I like my big American truck much more than I thought I would. No issues yet and it drives amazing (although it only has 25k miles on it)

I test drive one when looking for a new car a few months ago. I came away pretty unimpressed with the vehicle for the price. I was looking to replace a Lexus RX350 and just ended up with another one. It was a nice car, but not on par with the Lexus, in my opinion.

Your wife sounds like me as far as being picky and researching the heck out of cars......good to hear folks in here have had good experiences.....the American made has been my biggest issue......between the Enclave, another Toyota Limited and a Lexus 350.....the Enclave I am looking at is in Grade A condition, one owner, low miles and has the features I want. Will make appt tomorrow to drive it.....if they give me anything halfway decent on my Highlander (tons of miles on it) I will probably buy it. Thanks for input....makes me feel more comfortable about the Enclave

We have a 2011 Chevy Traverse (sibling to the Enclave) we bought new and have been extremely happy.

I have a 2012 Enclave. It IS a bit of a gas guzzler, but overall I'm very happy with it and would buy it again.

We looked at the Buick Enclave, Infiniti QX60, and Acura MDX when purchasing a new 2014 model a couple years ago. Wife didn't like the CVT transmission in the Infiniti, the Buick just wasn't as refined as the other two. We went with the MDX and she loves the thing, great technology on board, engine has some punch, and it's a smooth ride. I like driving it too.

Buick makes a nice ride. Very solid. My mother had the Rendezvous which was the precursor to the Enclave and it was a great vehicle. I wanted my wife to buy one when she got a new ride a while back but she went with the CRV so we could give it to our daughter in a couple of years...

If you don't need the 3rd row consider the Caddy SRX. I prefer the styling to the somewhat numb enclave and the interior of the caddy is nicer. Another option is the GMC or Chevy. The GMC has the cleanest styling of them all IMO.

My Mom has the SRX and from a driver standpoint it's ok. It is comfortable and luxury features are nice. I am assuming the Buick drives the same even with a bit more weight on the rear. I have been in the GMC Denali variant of the Enclave and it is nice and comfortable. More comfortable 3rd row than the Escalade. Easier to get into than the Navigator or Escalade. The platform of the SRX/Enclave/Etc. is a unibody, FWD. Not good for towing or any real SUV duty. It's a big car. They are great people movers though.

Pulled the trigger on the Enclave today....Here's hoping it's like my Highlander and is a good car!.thanks again for your input.

We're looking at new cars right now and the Acura MDX is at the top of our list. Even though they're basically the same car, after we looked at both the GMC Acadia and the Buick Enclave, we like the Acadia more.

My wife wanted a Tahoe or Yukon but that got nixed after I showed her what the gas mileage would be on a vehicle like that.

Dumping the Kia? Buying the GP's MDX? Good idea.
