Was getting some work done in my hotel room Saturday and foxnews did a 1 hour special on the college rape situation. It was very interesting. They did not go into JW situation, but the stories they did do were very similar. They went into the whole Title 9 DOJ directive etc. and if you have a son it should scare the crap out of you how easy it is to ruin someone. Some schools essentially have people who regardless of the situation if a woman says she was raped then it happened regardless of the evidence. One of the stories was a hook up where both people were drunk, the girl texted the boy asking him to meet and bring a condom etc. All the texts about her wanting to hook up were available, and the texts about how they stayed friends after and yet this guy was found guilty by the school and expelled. While I have no doubt that there are some rapes on college the facts and events put forth in this show were very interesting.

Well done. Infuriating to me is what is happening now on campuses. Yes, women do get assaulted everyday, which is a tragic thing.
The culture now prevalent on most campuses is absolutely a mess.
The Sulkowicz woman at Columbia is completely gaming the system, and thus we have a Senator from New York who says that although the police investigation found no evidence of rape (maybe they read the stupid girl's emails where she asked the guy for anal sex, doh) she "chooses" to believe the woman. I guess she's going for the feminist vote.
In the meantime, she gets to vote on issues that affect the rest of the USA, folks. That is scary.

Yea that was probably the worst story of them all. Basically you have a senator and an entire movement propping up a liar for an agenda. When asked why if everything has been proven a lie you still support Sulkowiwz, Senator Gilenbrant said well I just believe her.

It really is scary. I also find the stat that only like 2% (not sure the exact number) of rapes are false accusations. But what they don't count are the countless accusations that aren't proven one way or another. I would say that EKs accusation is false, but since it's essentially impossible to prove it it won't count into that 2%. There are so many statistics on this topic that are agenda driven and easily disputed by common sense.

Isn't that exactly what those who still call Jameis a rapist say when asked the same question?

I don't know since I have decided that he did not do it and arguing with anyone who thinks he did is a lost cause. There was a story on yahoo or something about JW at public buying crab legs, some publix employee took a photo and posted it; all in good fun. The comments after the article were the standard he is a rapists etc. I don't know what happened that night; however if the accusers story changes 3 times and each time it is proven to be a lie by forensic evidence then the people who believe he did it are either to stupid to know any better or to lazy to do any research. Regardless arguing with them is pointless.

No doubt. I was reading a Facebook post where some guy stated he found Kinsman very credible in the mocumentary because she cried. When asked if he had ever researched the volumes of evidence impeaching her story he said he was comfortable with his opinion on the matter and saw no need to investigate further. Worse thing is that this guy professes to be a Seminole fan. Lazy journalism has spilled out upon their audience.

I just finished reading the deposition of Scott Argulo of TPD. I really wish people would read it and see there was no attempt to cover up anything at TPD and that whole statement about him warning Kinsman that "Tallahassee is a big football town" actually came from the aunt and not from him. Also, Kinsman totally refused to press charges or cooperate in the matter until it went public. The ESPN hit piece was complete BS. Journalists are scum.

It's ANGOOOOLO.

Someone clearly got distracted by all the birds during Uncle Pat's park presser.

2%? it was 4%, women must be getting more honest. Statistics are for mathematicians and politicians.

Part of what is so scary and disturbing is the # of people who just don't want to know the truth.

Like rentech above stated...even the most cursory look into the investigation would show a person that what espn et al was feeding the country was a flat out lie about Jameis.

So they think the law professors have made the campus a hostile environment and are threatening to use Title IX against the professors. But in doing so they are making the campus a hostile environment, thus Title IX should be able to be used against them. Silliness like this is probably what is needed to make Title IX go away. Or be rewritten in a way that may actually make sense.

That was one of the bell cow false rape accusations on campus that got the ball rolling. In this one the "yes means yes" law was used, meaning it's against the rules for him to call witnesses or provide evidence. So they couldn't use her texts, her friends that offered to testify to what she said or any other evidence. This is almost as bad as what happened in Washington where a guy was kicked out based on "gray rape" which an campus activist said was a growing trend. In gray rape a women decides a consensual sex act is really rape months later..
