Things like Rotary Club, Businessmen Clubs, etc. Are you involved within the community?

I was with Kiwanis for about a year. Those cats do A LOT in the community.

I'm in several professional groups, but no civic groups.

Professional groups:
IIA - Institute of Internal Auditors
ACFE - Association of Certified Fraud Examiners
AICPA - American Institute of Certified Public Accountants
VGFOA - Virginia Government Finance Officers Association
VLGAA - Virginia Local Government Auditors Association

Professional groups - AICPA and FICPA (American/Florida Institutes of Certified Public Accountants)
Civic groups - local Kiwanis Club, Sertoma Youth Ranch (affiliated with Sertoma Club, this particular organization owns & operates a camping facility that also hosts a few music festivals each year)

Also on the Board of Directors for the local Little League & youth soccer league

Only professional groups. Once my daughter is a little older and frees up more of my time, I plan to get involved more in the community.

Used to volunteer just a bit at Bay Area Legal Services.
Used to coach my daughter's soccer team.
Used to be on HOA Board forever.

I don't actually miss any of these although I may do a bit more with BALS just because I feel it is a very worthwhile organization.

I belong to the Association of 'What's Shaking Baby'. We get together often where we sometimes just like to sit and think.
But mostly we just sit.

When I was living in Panama City, I was pretty active. On the Board of the HOA, Boys and Girls Club (also coached basketball and flag football) and Rotary. Once I moved to Central Florida, I didn't really get involved that much. I would like to in Tallahassee, but just haven't done it yet. Probably b/c I don't have the spare cash for dues in Rotary.

I've considered the FreeMasons a time or two, but simply don't have the time. I am very heavily invested in many of the internal programs of my church however.
