Pierschbacher on scrimmage number two
On Monday, we also caught up with 6-foot-5, 304-pound Ross Pierschbacher who has been repping at the starting left guard position.
“It was better than the first one. You know we saw some improvement protection wise and stuff like that and communication I think was a lot better as far as you know having everyone on the same page with all of offensive line going back to the running backs knowing what they're doing. And so I think I saw the most improvement right there. There still obviously things to clean up and whatnot. But you know I was I felt good about it.”
Thoughts on the upcoming game against Florida State
“I have (watched FSU) just more and more of my own time. So I can watch the schemes that they play with in personnel and stuff like that. And you know what I've seen from them is they're very talented big strong fast defense very athletic. So you know it's going to be a tough challenge for us up front. I would say yeah you know I see a lot of similarities (to Alabama) as far as size of speed and explosiveness and just how they play. You know I think their D-Line is a little more up the field than ours is. They're just going to try to penetrate. So it's a big challenge and you know we've been working really hard this camp and trying to match up with them.”
Alabama has an amazing freshmen class that have really wowed the upper classmen of this team and on Tuesday, Pierschbachergave praise to freshmen running back Brian Robinson as well as to freshmen tackle Jedrick Wills.
