Not far from there is an Italian place called La Grotta. It's in the basement of a condo building. One of my favorite places to eat.

Walkable? Sit down? The Federal, Consulate, Tap, ESS. In that order. A little further but Ecco and The Lawrence are decent options. Stay away from STK and 5Church.

Every thread you reply to RE: Atlanta is pretty spot on, so I'm pretty surprised on your Consulate vs 5 Church, as I would flip those in a heart beat. I just happened to do 5Church two nights ago, and was pleasantly surprised by their 60 second NY Strip.

I will admit it's been a little more than a year since we visited 5Church, maybe it was opening pains. I just enjoy the locally owned, quirky, eccentric, travel-centric theme of Consulate. I'm not a huge fan of the chain-y, loud, huge space crammed with tables. The Federal is the same way, a nice place to have a conversation and enjoy a good meal. Speaking of, I'm looking forward to the Staplehouse tasting menu (back again) that we have reservations for in May.

Oh so you are more inclined to the early bird special? Ya, definitely stay away from La Grotta.

Go to the sports bar on Juniper right by the hotel. I went there one time while staying in that hotel for a wedding. It was NOT what I was expecting.

Have breakfast at Cafe Intermezzo, which is next door to your hotel. Their selection of pastries and cheesecake is insane.

You're right around the block from Crescent, which has a ton of good options. I ate a South City Kitchen recently. It's legit.

@propositotaco have the best tacos in Atlanta that I have found. They are usually at 12th in Midtown for lunch on Thursdays, if you are in town that early.

Saturday - 1PM Atlanta United game at the Benz, unfortunately the roof will still be closed.

Atlanta Burger Week - $5 Burgers from a bunch of places, including Alluevia which is just how Atlanta does burger week. We usually hit up Grindhouse as it's close by, but I have a soft spot for Yeah Burger as well.

Should be a great weekend to be outside and in Atlanta.
