Looking for a 3 day weekend sort of trip for the wife and I when the kid heads back to college in the Fall.
Been to the Keys numerous times, mostly to Islamorada. Haven't actually stayed in Key West since the early 90's when we stayed at the Duval House.

We'd want to be able to do the typical tourist routine so easy walking/stumbling distance from Duval street etc. I've looked up the "top 10" B&B's , hotels...any one have recs on places they have stayed? Thx

Look at the Gardens Hotel....not sure your target price point, but very nice. Great location. Steps off of Duval...on Angela.

We enjoyed our stay at the Weatherstation Inn. Great area near the little white house and short walk to everything else. Pool was a plus.

We were there for a wedding at Casa Marina, which I recommend if it's within your price range. Nice beach area and two pools.

Cosgrove House to get a good feel for old Key West. Might even run across the Captain's ghost....

Yup....I thought you might like it....has the old KW feel, but nice updates....great location. If you’re driving down....$25 per night isn’t bad at all...I’ve seen worse on the island.
Do you remember which room/cottage you stayed in?

It’s been quite a few years....sooooo....unfortunately no. They opened under the current owners back in 2004....so it’s been a long time. My younger sister has a place on Angela....so we’ve stayed there the last few times we’ve been down. I would either call the front desk and tell them what you’re looking for, or try trip advisor...I guess it’ll make a difference if you’re bringing kids, staying with friends, etc. Good luck. By the way, you need to hit Pepe’s on Caroline Street when you’re there...get a burger....and B.O.s for some cracked conch....very close to each other....also on Caroline.
