If there is no strike that year the expos still exist in Montreal. True or False?

That team was loaded: Marquis Grissom, Larry Walker, Ken Hill, Pedro Martinez, John Wetteland, Will Cordero (all in their young prime). That stadium sucked but if there was no strike- the braves don't catch them, and they could have won the NLCS and world series. Which would have assured a new stadium.

Good documentary if you have time:

I was just talking to a friend about the '94 Expos last week. They were loaded and most likely would have played (and beaten) the Yankees in the World Series.

As good a story it would have been, I think they still would have left. I don't believe they would have received a new stadium, and when those young guys became FAs they all would have left for more money. Montreal just didn't support them and in the end they needed to leave.

One of those "could have been" for sure, but I don't think that changes their ultimate fate.

Rusty Staub! Laboy, I had to look up, before my time.

We would go up to Montreal and catch a game. With the exchange rate, we could literally buy a $7 outfield ticket and move behind 3rd base. Unreal!

As others have said, those players would all have left to bigger paying markets leaving Montreal back where they were. They simply didn't have the capital to compete.
