What's your favorite?

To me, Chick Fil A is by far the best. McDonald's and BK are easy and cheap but not close in terms of taste or quality.

Tried Taco Bell recently and it was simply inedible.

Whatcha got?

Do gas stations in San Antonio count??? They have some breakfast burritos that are bomb diggity!

I've only had the chicken biscuit from Chick-fil-a...and the mini's. While that item alone is the better than everything else fast food and breakfast, I might have to give this to McDonald's. They have a legit hashbrown, many decent breakfast sandwiches, and what really sets them apart is the fact they have a Pancake, Bacon, Eggs, and Hashbrown meal that taste pretty damn good considering where you are.

But again, maybe chick-fil-a has all that too and I'm just not aware.

Of the chain fast food place, Hardees and it's not even close. Their country ham biscuits are as close to your Southern grandmother as any fast food chain has ever come. Plus their link sausage biscuits are miles better than any of the sausage "patty" biscuits and their chicken fried steak with gravy biscuit may be over your daily allotment of fat, sodium and calories but it's also your full days measure of goodness needed.

Amongst the other chains I never bother unless it's an Egg McMuffin on the run which is not great but not too caloric and is hard to screw up.

Give me What a Burger taquitos and honey chicken biscuits and I am a happy camper.

CFA
Taco Bell
McDs

Never had Hardee's breakfast.

Then you sir, are missing out and must rectify that immediately. And that does NOT mean Carl's Jr as while they share the dinners the brekkies are completely different with Carls Jr having poor breakfast burritos while Hardees has a breakfast on par with good to maybe even excellent nonFast food places.

My one regret is they got rid of their amazing blueberry and cream "dessert" biscuits, those things were amazing. But they've still got a lot of really good items.

Panera Bread has really good breakfast sandwiches.

When I was a kid I liked BoJangles breakfast, haven't had it in years. and in Atlanta Mrs. Winters, is that still around?

My go too is McDowels in a pinch.

McDonald's for me. Two hash browns and a small decaf.

Mrs Winters had some bomb diggity biscuits! We would stop at the one in Columbus, GA on our way to Atlanta when I was a kid. Loved stopping there.

Hardee's. First cut biscuits are fantastic, and better than even those of higher quality restaurants. Their breakfast chicken biscuit is great too.

Truthfully Bojangles and Krystal aren't bad and are much better than the others, I just can only get those when I'm traveling a pretty fair distance (I think Jax is the closest). Good enough I'd go to them if they were in the area. Still not Hardee's though.

Imo

1) Hardee's
Giant gap
2) Bojangles
3) Krystal
Decent sized gap
4) Chik FIL A
5) McDonalds
6) Roy Rogers
Big gap
Everything else including Carl's Junior.

isn't carl's jr and hardee's the same thing?

For dinner yes basically. For breakfast not even close.

Carl's Jr. caters to the west and has a lot of %*^*y breakfast burritos, breakfast burgers and egg sandwiches on buns while Hardees caters to the south and has biscuits with lots of southerfried things like fried bologna, chicken fried steak, country ham, biscuits n gravy and etc...

carl's jr has the best fast food biscuits in california. it's been a while since i've eaten at hardee's since i'm too good for the south but i thought they were the same thing like safeway and von's are basically the same

Same companies now, but catering to different brekkie clientele. I looked it up and SOME Carl's Jrs carry Hardees biscuits (participating franchisees only), but the last time I was at a Carl's Jr in Cali (about two years ago someplace outside of LA near Magic Mountain I believe from memory) they carried only the burritos, hamburgers for brekkie and egg sammies on buns.

Also from looking at the Carl's Jr menu online they don't have the same fillings to their biscuits AND....its not the same ingredients for in the actual biscuits for some reason. The Cali version has ten less calories, soy displayed as an allergen and an extra gram of protein so it looks like they add soy to it for some reason. No joke, their site says specifically that the California biscuits are different than those "Hardees Biscuits" used by participating Carl's Jrs in other states.

Bojangles Cajun Filet Chicken Biscuit or Whataburger Taquitos would be my choices.

I wish they had Whataburger here in Atlanta.

Chicken + Egg + Cheese - on a bun.

I was going to add Whataburgers to the list, but several already have. I have always been a big hardees fan, but their breakfast can be up and down depending on timing of how fresh the food is. Sometimes I order something a little different just to make sure it's fresh.

I won't visit another McDonalds willingly. The Chinese rotten meat fiasco was just too much.

Back to whataburger, they have these jalapeno biscuits that are pretty good. Their breakfast food is similar to their burgers in that they seem to taste just a little bit saltier than everyone else's.

One place that surprised me was Krystal. I really like the fluffyness of the egg on their biscuits. The sausage wasn't anything great, but dat EGG doh... Also like their hash brown sticks.

Bojangles isn't very convenient to me, but I like that you can get a breakfast any time so I have had a few of their cajun breast biscuits lately.

Panera's SEC on ciabatta is pretty good. I sometimes stop there on Sunday on my way to church. They don't realy have a side to go with it, but it's big enough that you probabaly don't need one.

The biscuits at Chic fil a just don't taste or feel right to me. Love everything else about it, though.

Dunkin Donuts has some good breakfast stuff. On sundays when I don't go to Panera I'm usually having the SEC croissant at DD. Not a fan of their hash browns. WAY too greasy.

Chick fil a is my favorite for breakfast, wish they served those Chicken biscuits all day. To me, they have the best tasting biscuits of any breakfast fast food.

Hardee's and Bojangles are decent but their biscuits are just way too greasy for me. McDonalds is probably the worst of the bunch, their eggs are like rubber and taste awful.

Don't think I ever have had Whataburger breakfast, maybe I will try one next time I am down since they don't have any up here.

Forgot the Subway flatbread sandwich with egg (yellow), spinach, pepper jack cheese, tomato, red onion, and banana peppers (or jalapeños).

My buddy at work sometimes stops by to pick us up a country ham, egg, and cheese biscuit from Hardee's. Oh, lawsy. It is especially good on those mornings when my cholesterol is dangerously low.

I guess I'm a bit spoiled living in Houston with the plethora of excellent breakfast tacos and kolache places. If on the road, I usually hit Subway (flatbread, egg white, ham and all veggies) or that egg white delight from Mickey D's
