OK. I was bragging to a gator friend about the fact that a 7th place ACC team beat the mighty ACC champs to advance to CWS finals.
Then I got to wondering about the standings themselves, and wondered if baseball had divisions like in football
(note: ACC basketball doesn't have them, ACC baseball does)
Then I noticed there were 7 teams in each division (no surprise), but then I saw ND was in the ACC Atlantic Division and a quick re-count of the teams made me quickly realize Syracuse was missing from the ACC Atlantic, which I thought was odd and maybe in error.
But then I saw that Syracuse doesn't field a baseball team.
I think that's very odd. Almost unreal. You would think AT LEAST in the big-3 sports , all Power 5 teams would field teams in all 3.
Also I am wondering if Syracuse baseball is the only P5 team and sport combo that's missing
In other words, doesn't every other P5 team (there are 64 of us plus ND makes 65) have all 3?????
And if so, isn't that potentially embarrassing?
