Any advice on places to stay for the BC game? Never been to Boston. Headed up for the game with a group of five buddies ranging in age from mid twenties to early thirties. Also would welcome any advice on night life and restaurants. We are definitely going to the Red Sox v. Rays game on that Monday after the BC game. Thanks guys.

I like to stay in the Back Bay area, and I like to eat in the North End( Italian). There are bars everywhere, so your group won't have a problem getting into some drinks. The alumni association will have an event one night I am sure and that is always fun. Hanging with the Boston Seminole Club is fun also before the game. They used to be at a bar called Brownstone, but I am not sure if that is still the case.

Boston is just a great city and you will have a lot of fun.

By the way, I am making the trip for the 4th or 5th time for this game with a big group. The game itself
Is not all that, but all of the other things are great.

Hit up Mystic Brewery. Owner is a good friend of my dad. Beer is really good too. In the Chelsea area. Island Creek Oyster is a great place, plus the oysters are top notch.

Don't rent a car. Take the T don't ride to the BC stop. Take the green line to the resevior there are bars around the station have some drinks walk to the game and repeat the process after.

Second Neptunes, very good but tres pricey.

Boston traffic is a nightmare. The T is easy and cheap. Or use Uber. With Uber there really is no need to rent a car in a big city.

I look forward to using Uber this trip.

As for bars, I really like the Beantown Pub and Whiskey Priest. There are so many I have gone to and they are all good, but I have always liked those 2.

We very much enjoyed a stay at the Bartram Inn a couple of years back - nice neighborhood, easy walk to Fenway, very close to a transit line.

The T is really easy to get around. There is an app for the buses if you want to use those. Hit the Clask N Flagon before/after the Sox game. Sounds like your trip is: football, beer, girls, repeat so suggesting a history tour may get you a beat down. But Boston is really amazing. The self-guided Freedom Trail tour is fantastic. Then go over to Cambridge to Haavad and pick yourself up a wicked smaaaht chick

Stay away from the townies from Falls River, Charlestown and Chatham......they are freaking insane.

If a couple meatheads come stumbling out of a bar fighting each other, don't step in between them and shout "Ayyyyyyy! Ayyyyyyyy!" in your best fake Boston accent.

Everybody laughs for a second, but then they both get mad at you.

You can choose your friends, but you can't choose your family.

"There are over 300 bank robberies in Boston every year. Most of these professionals live in a 1-square-mile neighborhood called Charlestown. One blue-collar Boston neighborhood has produced more bank robbers and armored car thieves than anywhere in the world. Bank robbery became like a trade in Charlestown, passed down from father to son." Boston Robbery Task Force Federal Agent.

"Hey, next time you guys wanna take pictures of me, just call ahead. You know, we can do better than a barbecue. A calender shoot... you know, maybe topless, lubed up. Whatever you guys are into. The FBI car antenna's are half inch matte black about three quarters way down the rear windshield. Statie a pigtail, BPD half and half. Every pewee in town knows what an FBI rear antenna looks like. So in the future you guys need try to be slick, be slicker than a six year old. I gotta get back to work. Can I go?"

I spent part of a summer in Boston on a good friend's couch, trying to figure out life and everything. Did some odd jobs, etc. Ended up hanging out with a girl going to BU who was from Falls River. I guess she thought my statements about staying in Boston full time were real and not the mindless ramblings of an overstressed student and current bum. Probably should have said no to the family bbq and meeting the Catholic parents. When I told her that this was all fantasy land and I was going back to school...she freaked. Friend told me that I probably should leave early than later as her 4 brothers were probably going to come for me.

Is anyone in the Boston Seminole Club on here? I ask because I want to know what you all have planned since you always do a great job.

Go to Boston Common and Public Garden; take a
tour around the city( if you're in to that) go to Cambridge and visit Harvard; go see Fenway; there is a theater district; go see historic sites; and you can take the family to the aquarium.

I was there for a conference in 2011 and got to go to the Thursday night game. Great little stadium and game atmosphere. Had dinner at Abe & Louie's on the Wednesday before the game and there we a lot of Seminoles in there that night. The steak was very good but I could have eaten the Lobster Mac & Cheese side dish as an entree and been very happy.

As others have mentioned, the T is a great way to get around. Now the problem with the T is leaving the football game, and it takes forever to get from Chestnut Hill back to Boston. I am probably going to take a car service this go around.

The Millenium Bostonian is a great hotel next to Faneuil Hall and walking distance to the North End (tons of Italian restaurants). Great spot. Take the T and Uber. We were just there for a wedding and had a blast despite the bad weather.

Booked a 1 bedroom condo in Beacon Hill overlooking the capital building through vrbo.com. Great deal considering how expensive hotels in Boston are.

Take a spin up to Marblehead and eat lunch at the Barnacle overlooking the harbor, trust me on that. Then go out to the lighthouse and walk along the rocky cliffs and shoreline.

There are great restaurants everywhere. I liked a place we to last time called La Galleria 33, but really every place we have had has been great.
