Series 1:

1. Texas came out in a shotgun two tight end, two receiver set. We're in our base 4-2-5. They motion the back out pre snap. They run a little two step drop quick out to the tight end so no real chance to get pressure, although Nnadi easily pushes the LG into the backfield. Jalen makes the tackle for a gain of 5.

2. Texas in a bunched formation with 3 receivers to one side and a TE off the line. We're still in base 4-2-5. Another two step hitch and a quick out route to a slot receiver working against Northrup. Reggie had good coverage, just the other team making a decent football play for a first down. Again, no real chance for anyone to blitz or create pressure.

3. Texas trips to one side, TE in the back field off the RT's shoulder. 4-2-5 personnel for us. They throw a bubble screen. Marquez White does a great job beating his block and blowing the play up by making contact with the receiver three yards behind the LOS, you'd like to see him finish that tackle but Terrance Smith, Brutus, Andrews, and Walker are there to clean it up for a gain of 1.

4. Texas trips with a TE away from the trip. 4-2-5 for us. They throw another quick screen to a receiver, might have been a check by their QB. Northrup hammers him for a gain of 6.

5. 3rd and 3 Texas comes out in a 2x2 formation with the TE flexed out as a slot WR. Both corners are in press coverage with Brutus four yards off the TE in the slot. Another two step drop and quick out to the TE. Nnadi drew a double team but again, no chance to get pressure. Brutus makes a great tackle short of the first down but the refs gave Texas the spot for a first down.

6. Texas with three WR and a TE in the game. Same 4-2-5 for us. We slanted the DL to the boundary side and Marshall comes free on a blitz from the field side for a sack.

7. Second and long, Texas in a three WR, 1 TE formation with a pistol RB. We're in base with both corners playing off coverage. They run a zone read concept. Northrup does a great job keeping outside leverage on the QB and holds him up while Pugh finishes him from the back side.

8. 3rd and 20 we bring in the PASS RUSH PACKAGE!!!!! Sweat and Pugh with their hands in the dirt at end, Walker and Newberry inside with 6 DBs and Terrance Smith. Beautiful DL execution here. Sweat speed rushes and converts it into a bull rush tossing the LT into the back field. Newberry runs what basically amounts to a pick play for Walker. Looks like Newberry is being told to go level the RG who Walker is lined up against, when that happens Walker loops around on a stunt and comes free to drill the QB as he releases an incomplete pass.

That's it for series 1. Basically one play where we could've reasonably created pressure, and we did it.
