But everyone should be. I am a Chiefs fan, so I am pretty familiar with Daboll as he was our OC in 2012. The guy only has 4 years (2009-2012) of OC experience, 2 years with the Browns, 1 year with the Dolphins and 1 year with my Chiefs. The guy is an awful play caller. In 2012 my Chiefs were 24th in the league in total offense and dead last in scoring at 13.2 ppg. But that is pretty much on par with Daboll's other 3 years as an OC.
2009 (Cle)- Dead last total offense, 29th in ppg
2010 (Cle)- 29th total offense, 31st in ppg
2011 (Mia)- 22nd total offense, 20th in ppg
The guy has been coaching for 17 years all in the NFL, he has only coached QB's at one stop with the Jets. He has been very fortunate to spend a good portion of his career in New England as a positional coach or just a designated "assistant" on the staff. But he has been a huge failure at every place outside of Foxboro.
Personally I don't think this guy could hold Kiffen's jock as a play caller. What Kiffen did the last 2 years in Bama I personally though was incredibly impressive, especially last year. You can kiss that RPO stuff good bye, that is not what Daboll is going to run, and even if he tries it I highly doubt he coaches it very effectively as he has never done that kind of stuff. Hell he hasn't called a game as a play caller in 5 years. Combine that with what Hurts is as a QB and his strengths and weaknesses.
I personally think this is the biggest key in the game, and it is the reason I have quite a bit of confidence heading into Saturday and I like FSU to win this game.
