Interesting story. Inbev used a recipe from George Washington's journal for its limited edition summer ale. One of the comments suggested that the recipe was for small batch beer - or very low alcohol beer that the colonials drank during the day instead of water (because of the dangerous of drinking untreated water). I'm sure it will be underwhelming - but thought it was interesting.

Now proceed with crapping on Bud...

Probly stole the recipe from a Hessian. I'll report back on July the 5th, most likely from the can while nursing a hangover.

I got a sixer of the Budweiser Repeal Reserve based on a preprohibition recipe and it was decent. Not mind blowing but pleasant and “good enough”, really kind of reminded me of the standard Yeungling lager. So I’ll probably check this new one out.

Cool thing that they brought this back to life, but low alcohol beer is just not my bag.

And Bud Heavy is a fine beer to tailgate with!!!!

"Freedom Reserve"?? What a crock.

I won't try it because I'm holding out for their upcoming "Blood of the Fallen Patriots Special Lager".

Budweiser Marketing must be the easiest job ever. When in doubt rely on the flag, some Lee Greenwood or Tobey Keith music, and images of the American West or steelworkers.

Sorry, I didn’t know you were new to this country.

My buddies make fun of me for drinking Bud Heavy's, just like it. Drink an occasional Triple C but always back to the KOB at some point.

The only reserve I drink is Steel Reserve - 40oz
