This is kind of cynical, but do you think that if the coaches determine that a player is not going to be a contributor, that they play him his freshman year just to get the clock ticking on his eligibility, so that he'll get out of school as quickly as possible? I'm guessing it could happen, but only very rarely. Any thoughts?
