The Florida State softball team begins its bid to reach the Women's College World Series on Friday with a NCAA Regional game against Princeton.

Why has FSU been so successful in softball over the last few years? It's because of head coach Lonni Alameda and our latest story examines who she is and what she's done.

Alameda, who is in her ninth year, took the approach of creating a family-style atmosphere with the Seminoles. The result has seen Alameda become one of the best coaches in college softball while making FSU a strong favorite to win a national championship.
