The anchor of the OL is certainly the center position. We saw last year with 4 experienced upperclassmen and a poor center is was a disaster until Cam moved to center.
We are seeing this year the same. Poor center play and it creates havoc for the QB and the running game. If we don't get this fixed soon it will be a long season. Teams will start blitzing in the A gap or running stunts in the middle to destroy our center. Bad for the passing game and the running game.
It is hard for me to believe we don't have a qualified center. Now I read the Hoefield has been taking 1st teams snaps. I hope he is much stronger than last year or it will be another bad situation.
Also, when will Minshew and Mavety come back. I am getting worried they will not contribute this year. Mavety with a concussion out this long is a bad sign.
