I was on a plane during the draft, get off the plane, jump in my car, turn the radio on and it is Chris Rix and his partner on the radio.
His partner goes on a rant comparing Winston to Jamarcus Russell and, get this, Todd marinovich, saying Winston will end up like Todd marinovich.
Then Rix goes on about how mariota is in a better place because he is away from home and will be able to focus.
Rix then makes a crack that Winston will be a millionaire and he will have everyone wanting stuff from him because he is in Florida, not really understanding that Winston is from Alabama.
I say, hey Chris, sorry you never made any cash as a pro but no need to throw JW under the bus. You chris are a typical SoCal person. I live here, I know.
