Florida State junior Luke Clanton along with two former Seminoles, Vincent Norrman and Daniel Berger, will be in the field at the Waste Management Phoenix Open Feb. 6-9 at TPC Scottsdale in Phoenix, Ariz.
Clanton will compete in his third PGA event of 2025 and the 11th of his career. He last competed in the Farmers Insurance Open, placing in the top 15 scoring 1-under par. He will tee off at 9:53 a.m. on Thursday.
Clanton earned his 19th PGA TOUR University Accelerated Point after being ranked No. 1 in the World Golf Amateur Rankings for 26 weeks. Clanton could earn his 20th point by making the cut at “The Peoples Open” to secure his PGA TOUR card.
Norrman will be competing in his fourth PGA tournament of 2025, after finishing 2-over par and in the top 40 in the Farmers Insurance open. Norrman will start at 10:04 a.m.
Daniel Berger will also be competing in his fourth event in 2025. Berger is scheduled to tee off at 3:39 p.m.
WAGR RANKINGS
In addition to Claton holding the top spot, the Seminoles have four players ranked in the top 100 in the rankings.
Gray Albright is listed at No. 33 and still is 18th on the PGA TOUR U rankings. Jack Bigham ranked 37th and Tyler Weaver is 60th.
The Seminoles will start the spring season at the Watersound Invitational from Feb. 17-19 at the Sharks Tooth Golf Course in Panama City, Florida.
