I've been trying to think how FSU could find creative ways to compete with the billions that a Texas A&M can provide. I think we can compete with most middle to upper level schools in the money department but those top tier money teams will always be able to outspend us. My idea was to get the film school involved and try to do a collaboration where they help athletes make promos, sample commercials, or viral videos. We already have a graphic design department, why not a video team of students/recent grads making cool videos that promote the athletes and pad their own resumes.
