Crowd Noise

Listening to the piped in crowd noise during football games I have a couple of questions :

Is the noise played at a high volume for the players or is it just put in over the TV audio ?

Is the CBS "Whooo Girl" the same one for both NFL and NCAA games ?

Does someone sit at a control board and "adjust" the crowd noise or is just a repetitive loop.

Why does the "Whooo Girl" Whooo for both teams ?

Its goofy especially when the artificial crowd noise is out of touch with the game action.
